Thank you for using CandleClock. This policy explains how we handle your data. Our approach is simple: we collect as little as possible, keep it on your device by default, and never sell or share it.

Our core promise: CandleClock stores your session records, preparation checklists, discipline reviews, custom sounds and app settings locally on your device. We do not require an account, and we do not use advertising or analytics SDKs. Optional iCloud synchronization uses your private database and is only accessible to you.

1. Information We Store

CandleClock stores the following information on your device:

  • Session data: active timer state, completed rounds, focused minutes, and session timestamps.
  • Preparation records: your checklists, completed steps, and notes.
  • Discipline reviews: short reflections, adherence ratings, and review dates.
  • Custom sounds: audio files you import for timer alerts.
  • App preferences: theme, sound choices, language, timer defaults, and settings.
  • Optional iCloud data: if iCloud is enabled, your active Pro session continuity data is stored in your personal iCloud private database.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly state that we do not collect:

  • Your real name, email address, or phone number
  • Your geographic location
  • Your brokerage accounts, trades, positions, or balances
  • Device identifiers used for tracking across apps
  • Any information that could identify you personally

3. Data Security

Your local data is protected by your device's security measures. If you enable iCloud sync, data is transmitted and stored using Apple's encryption. We cannot access any of your data. We recommend:

  • Using a device passcode or biometric lock
  • Keeping iCloud two-factor authentication enabled
  • Regularly backing up your device

4. Third-Party Services

CandleClock may use the following third-party services:

  • Apple StoreKit: Processes the one-time CandleClock Pro purchase and any future in-app transactions. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple.
  • Apple iCloud: Optional cross-device session continuity is provided through your private iCloud database.
  • Apple system services: Notifications, Live Activities, widgets, and shortcuts are handled by Apple's operating system.

5. Children's Privacy

CandleClock is not specifically designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Financial Disclaimer

CandleClock is a discipline and time-management tool. It does not provide financial or investment advice, trading signals, price data, or brokerage execution. Trading involves risk. Your timer and checklist status do not imply investment performance.
