Loopraxis

Introduction

Thank you for using Loopraxis. Loopraxis is a local-first, universal personal loop platform that helps you organize and practice content and routines you revisit regularly. This policy explains in plain language how we handle (and how we do not handle) your data.

Our core promise: Loopraxis is a purely local-first app — no accounts, no servers of our own, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Your material sets, practice history, statistics, and recordings stay on your device by default. We do not — and cannot — collect any of your data. We do not request App Tracking Transparency because there is simply nothing to track.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

Loopraxis stores only the following information locally on your device:

  • Materials and sets: cards, text, audio references, and routine steps you create or import
  • Practice history and feedback: session records, self-assessments, and scheduling state
  • Recordings: shadowing and instrument practice recordings, saved only on this device
  • App preferences: time budgets, reminders, appearance, and other settings

We never ask for your name, email, phone number, or any account information. Deleting the app also deletes all of the above local data (unrecoverable if iCloud sync is not enabled).

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We explicitly state that we do not collect:

  • Your material content, practice history, recordings, or any personal data
  • Your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or tracking fingerprints
  • Usage statistics, behavior logs, or crash analytics
  • Any information that could identify you or build a profile of you

3. Optional iCloud Sync

Loopraxis offers entirely optional iCloud sync. Sync is off by default and is enabled only when you turn it on in Settings. Once enabled, your material sets and practice data sync through Apple CloudKit to your own iCloud private database — the data lives in your iCloud account, is covered by Apple's privacy policy, and is inaccessible to us. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

Loopraxis involves only the following official Apple service:

  • Apple iCloud / CloudKit (optional): used only when you explicitly enable sync; data goes to your iCloud private database

We have not integrated any third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or remote configuration SDKs. Other than optional iCloud sync, Loopraxis makes no network requests at all.

5. System Permissions

Loopraxis requests the following system permissions only when you use the corresponding feature. Declining a permission does not affect any other functionality:

  • Microphone: for shadowing recording comparison and instrument practice recording; recordings are saved only on this device
  • Notifications: for local practice reminders you set yourself; scheduled on-device by the system, with no server involved
  • Photos and Files: for importing material files you choose; accessed only when you actively import

6. Data Deletion

You can delete individual material sets, practice history, or recordings within the app at any time. Deleting the Loopraxis app removes all local data on the device; without iCloud sync, this data cannot be recovered. If you have enabled iCloud sync, you can also manage or delete the synced data in your device's iCloud settings.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updated policies will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. No matter how the policy changes, our core promise stays the same: your data stays on your device by default.
