Anonymous Diagnostic File
Parents can generate an anonymous diagnostic file on the "About & Support" page for issue reporting. The file contains only app/system versions, storage state, network category, audio route category, purchase status, and song pack health state. It does not contain nicknames, profile IDs, favorites, song progress, artwork, or performance events. The diagnostic file only leaves the device when a parent actively shares it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Tap the avatar on the home page to open the profile picker. Adding a new child requires parent gate verification. The free version supports one profile; the full version supports multiple profiles, each with independent settings, favorites, progress, and artwork.
When a child taps a locked song, they only see "Ask a grown-up." After the parent passes the parent gate, the purchase page appears with three options: monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. All paid plans unlock the same full-version features.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, go to Settings -> tap your Apple ID -> Subscriptions -> find Numelody and cancel. Full-version features remain available until the end of the current billing period, after which the app returns to the free version. Existing artwork is not lost.
Yes. Numelody is a fully local app. All profiles, progress, artwork, and additional song packs are stored on the device. Uninstalling permanently loses them and they cannot be recovered. iCloud sync is not currently supported. Parents should periodically check song pack health and re-download as needed.
No. Numelody does not request microphone permission, does not record, and does not generate audio files. Free-play "artwork" only stores note events (pitch, onset, duration, and sound ID) and monotonic clock relative timing, up to 60 seconds.
In Parent Center -> Content & Storage, parents provide an HTTPS address, a 64-bit SHA-256 digest, and an estimated size. The app checks space, downloads (with pause/resume/cancel), verifies, and atomically installs. Parents are responsible for confirming the legal source of song pack content.
The vast majority of features work fully offline, including play-along, free play, music worlds, and the built-in song library. Only purchases, restore purchases, and additional song pack downloads require a network.
