What does Screenwright require?
Screenwright requires macOS 26.5 or later. Grant only the sources you use: Screen Recording for screen capture, Microphone or Camera for those inputs, Speech Recognition for Apple transcription, and Accessibility for detailed event capture and computer-use actions.
Why is a recording missing clicks or keyboard events?
Video can continue when Accessibility is unavailable, while pointer, keyboard and focus metadata degrades. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, enable Screenwright, then relaunch the app.
Where are projects saved?
New recordings default to Movies/Screenwright unless you change the output folder. A `.skproj` is a readable package containing `project.json`, media and JSONL event tracks. Use the portable project export before moving a project that references external media.
How do I recover an interrupted recording?
Relaunch Screenwright. It scans temporary `.skrec.tmp-*` sessions and offers recovery when usable media and recovery metadata exist. Keep the original folder in place until recovery finishes.
How do I restore Screenwright Pro?
Open Screenwright Pro from the app menu or Settings, then choose Restore Purchases while signed into the Apple Account that bought the lifetime product. Family members can also restore when Apple Family Sharing applies.
Why did cloud transcription or S3 upload fail?
Confirm the provider endpoint, region, model and Keychain credential. Screenwright sends requests directly to the configured service, so provider billing, account limits, network policy and service availability can affect the result.
Which exports are included?
Base recording and MP4 editing are available without Pro. Screenwright Pro Lifetime unlocks ProRes, MP3, FCPXML, SOP and portable project package exports.
